genesis - a chatroom client for beings

genesis is a universal chatroom client, featuring (eventual) plugin support for multiple chat services (Discord(? maybe), IRC, XMPP, Matrix, etc.), with the long-term goal of becoming its own FOSS, federated, and encrypted chat protocol.

core principles

• privacy-first: e2e encryption, metadata protections, memory security, etc.
• multiplatform: desktop, android, and ios are supported from public release one
• extensible: plugin support for adding service compatability
• lightweight: efficient resource usage, especially on desktop

roadmap to v0.1

• proper handling of IRC server consoles as rooms
• proper ui development (probably tool-assisted, kcompose is hell)
