👋 Hello, here you'll find frequently asked questions.
What's Switch?
Switch is a cross-platform key-combo window manager.In a nutshell, Switch lets you assign shortcut keys to apps and use them to navigate
between assigned apps at will.
How to use?
Switch provides you with a dock where you can assign apps to predefined shortcut keys.Ten Hot-spaces are provided where you can place apps that will be switchable
with hot-keys.
After assigning apps, you can switch to your assigned apps using the shortcut keys.
On use macOS ⌥+⌘+(0-9), on Windows 10 use Alt+(0-9) to switch between these apps.
A Tray menu (⚡️ as icon) is provided at the menu bar can be used to access other functionalities
such as Show/Hide, Expand/Restore, Preferences...
Please not some functionalities are platform specific. As an example, expand/restore menu item
is only available on macOS.
Free or paid?
Switch's Windows version is free and open source (please 🙏 consider donating, to keep the good work going)meanwhile the macOS version is paid and closed sourced.
Switch requests accessibility permission, why? (macOS)
You need to grant Switch app accessibility permission.In other to grant Switch this permission, Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy, select Privacy tab, at the permissions list to the left, select Accessibility, then at the app list to your right, locate Switch, then check box beside it to grant permission.
Once granted, restart Switch for the permission to take effect.
Switch's Tray menu > Preferences ... > General, what do I need to know? (macOS)

Label Hotkeys: If Yes it labels Hot apps with number at the dock. If set to No, it removes the
the numbering labels. -
Search for installed apps: If set to Moderately, Switch does a moderate search for apps at your Applications folder.
If set to Extensively, Switch will search your hard drive extensively for all installed apps. Please note, extensive search
might take some time and should be used seldomly.
Newly installed apps not listed at Switch's dock, what do I do? (macOS)
If you install a new app and it's not listed among installed apps on Switch's dock, press ⌘+Shift+`to refresh the dock or use Refresh option at the Tray menu to refresh the dock.
