Please forgive me but I do not see how this feature works? There is no description for the pull request and the commit does not include an explanation. I looked up the uri_file configuration setting in the documentation and I think I understand the motivation for pulling that file in, but where is that .uri file coming from? Is this something that the user would need to add?

Thanks for the explanation, it makes more sense now. I am now wondering how this file could be utilized in practice.
