I hope this makes gets merged one day. All the older Macs with Broadcom chips would have wifi :) |
|
This would be very useful addition, as many Macbooks/Minis have the affected Broadcom chips. Could the PR be perhaps re-rolled against the latest Batocera version? (if no Macbooks available for testing, I can test it afterwards on Macbook with the bcm4360 chipset on which Wi-Fi doesn't currently work) |

although the driver loads, in testing multiple users were not able to connect to wifi. that's why this hasn't been merged. there are plenty of linux issues related to this driver on the internet with varying degrees of success. i don't have a device to troubleshoot further. |
can i help with testing and providing logs ? |
|
i installed latest linux mint on this mbp 2013, wifi also not detected. could this be any help, with more information? |

Rerolled this PR and updated here: #14389 |

Follow up on #14389 ... be aware that none of the devs has access to every piece of hardware that can run Batocera. Things like old iMacs need your help to validate the changes. |
In user testing...
