Hi 👋 I am Checco!!!

  • 😄 I am a PhD student in quantum computing, quantum machine learning (QML), and AI in the context of healthcare/medical data and imaging at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), collaborating with Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC). In particular, I work both in digital and analog quantum computing, focusing on variational quantum algorithms (VQAs), encoding schemes, and quantum annealers (QAs) to solve combinatorial optimization problems (COPs). I also would like to use Tesnor Networks (TNs) for large-system simulations. I plan to gain extensive experience using various tools and frameworks. Moreover, I would also like to try tensor networks (TNs) for large circuits and physical systems. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, and my master's degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Bologna. Then, I did an internship at Cineca supercomputing center and a 7-month-long period as a research fellow at the University of Florence.
