setup.bat First-time setup: creates wallet and starts mining
run-miner.bat Start mining (auto-runs setup if no wallet)
stop-miner.bat Gracefully stop the miner
status.bat Check current mining status via RPC

Usage

:: First time setup (creates wallet + starts mining)
setup.bat

:: Start mining (subsequent runs)
run-miner.bat

:: Check status
status.bat

:: Stop mining
stop-miner.bat

📁 Files Created During Mining

File Location Description
wallet-address.txt Miner folder Your wallet address
password.txt Miner folder Auto-generated wallet password
Keystore %LOCALAPPDATA%\Ethereum\keystore\ Encrypted private key
Chain data %LOCALAPPDATA%\Ethereum\seoul\worldland\ Blockchain data

⚠️ Important: Back up your password.txt and keystore folder. If you lose these, you lose access to your wallet.

🔧 Troubleshooting

Peers stuck at 0

  • Make sure TCP/UDP port 30303 is open in Windows Firewall
  • The miner includes 6 stable bootnodes for peer discovery
  • It may take 1-2 minutes to find peers after starting

Balance shows 0 or Error

  • Balance is fetched from https://seoul.worldland.foundation/
  • If the public RPC is unreachable, it falls back to your local node
  • Your local node needs to be fully synced to show accurate balance
  • Newly mined blocks need network confirmations before balance updates

Miner window closes immediately

  • Check debug.log in the miner folder for errors
  • Make sure worldland.exe is in the same folder as the scripts
  • Run as Administrator if you encounter permission issues

Hashrate shows 0

  • Mining uses 1 CPU thread by default
  • Hashrate may take a few seconds to appear after starting
  • ECCPoW is CPU-friendly — GPU is not required
