presumably we can.. off hand, idk what upstream we want to contribute too, or how ubuntu ties into that (since we pull from their source package), but I'll poke around and see what makes sense.. |

We've seen the "metadata" value exist but have a "null" value, which the cloud-init code doesn't handle.Problem
Fix the logic to properly handle a "null" value (i.e. treat it the same as if the field doesn't exist).Solution
