Esther Menéndez

BSc Physics (2026) — Computational Physics & Numerical Simulation

I am a physics student focused on numerical modeling and simulation of physical systems.
My main interests lie in:

  • Finite difference methods for PDEs
  • Monte Carlo methods in statistical physics
  • Dynamical systems and numerical integration
  • Physical-based modeling and deformable systems

Throughout my degree, I have developed computational projects involving:

  • 2D Poisson equation (finite differences)
  • Heat equation discretization
  • 2D Ising model (Metropolis Monte Carlo)
  • N-body gravitational simulations
  • Mass-spring systems for soft-body and cloth dynamics
  • Theoretical particle collision simulations (BSM physics)

I am particularly interested in the mathematical structure behind physical simulation and in translating physical laws into stable and efficient numerical algorithms.

Currently preparing to pursue graduate studies in Computational Modeling and Simulation.
