📢 IP Cooperation & Defensive Patent Licensing Notice

I am the author and conceptual designer of the following innovative features for 3D printing ecosystems:

  1. "Region-Aware Filament Runout Pause" (Geometry-based deferred pausing for print quality preservation)
  2. "Wandering Probe Points (WPP)" (Non-overlapping, matrix-based dynamic offset algorithm to prevent PEI wear and ooze interference during nozzle-based auto bed leveling)

To protect these innovations for the open-source community and prevent proprietary monopolization by closed-source competitors:

  • I have not filed patents yet, but the 1-year grace periods for patent filing are now actively running (since May/June 2026).
  • I am open to filing and assigning/licensing the patent rights to open-source-friendly 3D printer manufacturers (e.g., Creality, Elegoo, Prusa) on a defensive, contingency, or revenue-sharing basis.
  • This will allow you to legally enforce the patents against closed-source competitors while keeping the technologies free for Klipper, Marlin, and OrcaSlicer users.
