Background: llama.cpp always requires a CPU backend, and normally it is always available. However, when building with dynamically loadable backends (
GGML_BACKEND_DL
), it is possible that there is no CPU backend available when llama.cpp is called. The most common cause for is a missing call toggml_backend_load_all
orggml_backend_load
, which is necessary to load the backends before using llama.cpp.
