I found clipdraw was migrating many curves completely off the canvas, like it hated them and was frustrated or something. Then it would keep calculating their gradients and drawing them even though they were completely invisible, slowing down the result and reducing its quality.
This change prevents that. Now clipdraw finds the underlying beauty in these hopeful curves, relaxes, and gives them homes where they can contribute.
