dev-update-v1.0: clean history for v1.1 content

This PR proposes a clean, logically-grouped history equivalent to the current dev-update-v1.1 (#172) tree, without changing any code.

Summary of grouped commits:

• docs: agent guide, contributors, leaderboard
• chore(ci,build): workflow, ignores, pytest, pyproject
• feat(examples): VILA+LLaVA wrappers and samples; submodules
• feat(scripts): leaderboard overhaul and test scripts
• chore(utils): Azure client minor tweaks
• feat(metrics): new scorers + registry updates
• feat(tasks): add/modify tasks + registry
• refactor(examples): rename vila.py -> _depr_vila.py
