Typing intro

๐Ÿ“– Lore

  • ๐Ÿงญ Day job: Software Engineer summoned whenever Next.js melts, performance tanks or systems need an adult.
  • ๐Ÿง  Spec: system design, performance, DX, and turning vague product wishes into battle-tested architecture.
  • ๐Ÿงช Playstyle: break down complexity, remove accidental pain, ship features that feel like magic and not enterprise software.
  • ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Alignment: chaotic good โ€“ I'll bend rules for better UX, but I care deeply about reliability and maintainability.
  • ๐ŸŒ Spawn point: Tunisia โ†’ currently casting spells from the Netherlands.

๐Ÿงฑ What I actually do (between rituals)

  • Design web architectures that age well instead of turning into microservice spaghetti.
  • Turn brutal product ideas into coherent roadmaps and sane incremental releases.
  • Make performance and reliability first-class citizens, not "if we have time".
  • Build DX that makes junior devs feel like wizards, not victims.
  • Mentor, review, and push teams toward thoughtful trade-offs instead of cargo cults.

๐Ÿงช Current experiments in the lab

  • ๐Ÿค– Agentic workflows & tools registries โ€“ letting LLMs orchestrate complex tasks across services with typed tools instead of chaos.

Most of this lives in WIP / private repos; ping me if you're into this kind of madness.

  • ๐Ÿ“ฐ Substack: maissenayed.substack.com
  • I like writing about:
    • Real-world system design & trade-offs
    • Habit-forming products and "this feels too smooth to be enterprise" UX
    • Practical AI for engineers who actually ship things
