This repository is a place to store and share any background documentation and research work that goes into informing standards, specifications, and Fediverse Enhancement Proposals (aka FEPs) submitted by the Mastodon team.
For the most part, information shared in this repository is intended as reference-only, i.e. a demonstration of existing efforts towards an upstream contribution. Therefore, in-depth discussion, issues and pull requests are not generally expected. Any contributions should be in accordance with that positioning of the content, and are also subject to the Mastodon Contribution Guidelines and Code of Conduct.
