Welcome to the new Open Knowledge code
We launched a new website. This is a quick wiki article to explain how to give feedback. There are many kinds of feedback and we want to help you make the website useful. We think there are 4 types of requests you might have:
Content: Have a picture to recommend? See a typo? Want to edit some words/phrases/sentences? You can simply submit a ticket to request we make the change. If you are github savvy, submit a pull request.
Bugs: Software is buggy by nature. See a flaw, hit a snag? Let us know so that we can get it fixed.
Feature: The website is your story too. What types of features should we add to serve you more?
Development: Have technical suggestions?
- All feedback/bugs will be collected on github. We will use this to followup and prioritize action.
- Search for existing similar or duplicate tickets. https://github.com/okfn/foundation/issues?milestone=1&state=open
- If there is a similar or duplicate ticket, add more collaborative notes.
- If new, add a new issue.
- Include a descriptive title that summarizes the topic.
- If applicable, add steps to reproduce the issues. Or, add more details about the request.
- If it is a technical issue, include things like the Expected result, Actual observed result and Details of your environment (.eg. Browser you were testing in, Operating system you were testing on)
- Add any diagrams or Screen shots
- Tell us what type of Github issue your request matches. We have a number of labels to help us plan: Bug, Feature, Development, Content
