The release guide was a bit out of date, so I updated it and rearranged some sections. I've also automated adding the components section to the changelog. Finally, I've added instructions for the release manager to update the operator Helm Chart after the release succeeds.
Maybe we should have a bot automatically create an issue with these instructions as a checklist?
