Project to tackle thesis evaluation process from the point of view of citations and references

Use cases

USE CASE 1: Add a new thesis to be evaluated

• I can easily drag&drop or select a PDF file to be uploaded
• PDF file format is checked and enforced

USE CASE 2: Follow thesis progress

• I can see a handy list of uploaded theses, showing the progress on each
• Uploaded - processed - references extracted - refrence fetch percentage - citations extracted - citations classified - citations compared with reference

USE CASE 3: Reference status list

• Show a list of references from all theses
• Show their status (inserted - fetched automatically - needs manual upload - uploaded manually - processed)

USE CASE 4: Upload references manually

• References that have failed to auto-fetch can be easily uploaded from thesis view AND from the reference view
• File formats?

USE CASE 5: Show statistics

• Select theses to include (different disciplines)
• Select data points to include (number of theses, number of references, references found automatically percentage, citation classifications, citation correspondence
• Y-axis as year OR month/year of publication
