Absolute Johannes factotum
- SCP-9344 (?)
- SCP-9344 is a phenomenon that causes islands located between 21°N and 21°S latitude to gradually transform into a specific tourist-trap template over 15-30 months, especially if they have many visitors. This transformation includes changes to the island's geography, businesses, and even the memories of its residents, making them forget personal details and adopt common tourist-related roles and narratives. For example, islands will develop specific features like a coconut palm carved with "C+M" and a beachfront bar named after a "Drunken Turtle." Containment involves suppressing advertising and journalism about affected locations, and personnel are advised to limit their time on these islands to prevent memory alteration.
- Nebraska Admiral (?)
- The Nebraska Admiral is the state of Nebraska's highest civic honor, an honorary title bestowed by the Governor upon individuals who have contributed to the state or promote its "Good Life." Despite the military-sounding name, it is not a military rank and carries no duties or compensation, serving as a humorous reference to Nebraska being a landlocked state with no navy. The Nebraska Admirals Association, a non-profit organization, engages in charitable activities like promoting Nebraska products, educational initiatives, and tourism. While commissions have historically gone to prominent citizens, anyone who meets certain criteria and is nominated by a Nebraska resident can be considered for the honor, though the Governor retains full discretion.
