Describe the bug

I downloaded the part to be printed from the ‘Printables’ website, used Prusa Slic3r to generate the STL file (attached), and when printing the part, it goes perfectly until it reaches a certain point where the print head becomes misaligned.

I printed another identical part using the same STL file, and it failed at the exact same point.

In the file attached there is barrel deactivated and everything else is set on default. Can you confirm this settings, If we activate the barrel, this is the settings you printed it with? Not "avoid crossing perimeters" turned on, really everything on default? Asking just to rule out known bugs.

Yes, just as you can see, deactivate the lid of the piggy bank and print only the barrel

Thanks for clarifying. If you are willing to, please try to switch printer into Silent mode. It is in the printer's Settings menu. Then try to print this exact same gcode in this Silent mode and tell us how it did this time.

Right, I can print in silent mode straight away. I’ll let you know in about 3–4 hours.

It’s now finished printing using the same G-code in silent mode. It’s turned out perfectly!!! I’ve attached a photo. So, what could be happening in normal mode?

We just found out that the layer shift was caused by high acceleration (which silent mode slows down) and ruled out other possible causes like bumping into obstacles or printed part itself. I will keep the rest on Prusa team like @o-vesely who will probably merge this topic with existing layer shift documented issues. In the meantime, make sure to check belt tensions and also grub screws of the motor pulleys. Those are easily accessible through these holes and has to be really tight. Always, but especially during high acceleration moves belts needs to be sitting perfectly on those pulleys. If not, they make skip then cause layer shifts.
