Track .qlty/.gitignore from qlty's current template - #214
Conversation
Fresh checkouts and worktrees had no .qlty/.gitignore, so qlty's output under .qlty/ showed up as untracked. Older generated copies also lack !configs/**, which hides .qlty/configs/* from git and breaks plugins that read them. Adds
.qlty/.gitignoreusing qlty's current template (qlty-cli/src/initializer/templates/gitignore.txt).qlty only writes this file during
qlty init, and it was never tracked here. Fresh checkouts and worktrees have none, so qlty's output under.qlty/shows up as untracked. Copies generated by qlty older than v0.508.0 also lack!configs/**, which makes git (and therefore qlty) treat files in.qlty/configs/as ignored. Plugins that read them, such as eslint and yamllint, then error, and the pre-push hook's--skip-errored-pluginslets the push through without running them.Note for existing checkouts: after merging,
git pullwill refuse to overwrite an untracked.qlty/.gitignore. Delete the local file first.Generated by Claude Code
