Analytics Engineering - Paris
I spent eight years on the business side: managing retail stores, then selling payment solutions to Italian SMBs. Today I work on revenue data at PlayPlay (SaaS, video), from Salesforce to dbt models on BigQuery. Same job, minus the small talk, plus SQL.
france_data_market - a weekly dbt + DuckDB pipeline tracking the French data job market (France Travail + SIRENE, local-LLM skill extraction, CI on GitHub Actions). Every modeling decision is backed by a measurement on real data, not a guess.
Three things it currently shows:
- Only 26% of listings disclose a salary: 45% via recruitment agencies and consultancies, 38% for direct employers, 8% when the employer is masked
- The salary median holds at 43-45k€ regardless of employer type (50k€ for freelance missions), but moves from 40k€ (beginners accepted) to 45k€ when experience is required
- Nearly a fifth of listings are freelance missions from a single platform, which rarely show a salary
