Luciferin update management

Luciferin is a suite composed of:

• A PC software: Firefly Luciferin
• A firmware: Glow Worm Luciferin

You can find the Devices tab under the Settings menu.
From this screen, you can check the currently installed versions of both Firefly Luciferin and Glow Worm Luciferin.

Automatic Updates

As soon as Firefly Luciferin starts, it automatically checks for updates for:

• The PC software
• All connected Glow Worm Luciferin devices

When updates are available, a changelog is shown highlighting new features and improvements.

The download and update process is handled automatically.

NOTE:
Updates can also be triggered manually via the tray icon using the Update menu.
Automatic update checks can be disabled from the Devices tab in the Settings menu.

Full Firmware Updates

When Firefly Luciferin starts, it also searches for firmware updates.
If a new firmware version is available, Firefly Luciferin automatically updates all connected devices.

If you have multiple Glow Worm Luciferin devices connected, all of them are updated in a single operation.

The firmware update process:

• Runs in the background
• Supports rollback for error management
• Notifies the user once the update is completed

Light Firmware Updates

The Light firmware must be upgraded manually.

You can:

• Use the official web installer
  
• Or download the firmware from the releases page and flash it using your favourite tool
